The following 10 universities are predicted to be in the top 100 in 2022 by higher education analytics company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Of course, it’s impossible to know what the world will look like in six years, but these rankings take into account things like reputation, research citations, international faculty and student ratio, and employment rates of graduates among other factors. The college consistently ranks highly on global surveys and experts believe it will rise even higher over time.

The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university located in Oxford, England. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious universities in the world and is widely considered to be among the world’s top-ten universities.

Stanford has been ranked as one of America’s top universities for nearly two centuries. Stanford alumni are leaders in business, government, and even entertainment: they include founders of major companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Facebook, Instagram, and Google; governors of US states; astronauts; and a host of others who have changed history. Stanford’s computer science department is known to have produced some of Silicon Valley’s most notable names (including Tesla Motors founder Elon Musk).

The University of Chicago is a private research university in Chicago, Illinois.
